Michael D’Eramo, Chief Executive Officer


Michael D’Eramo has been active in healthcare and physician management since 1985. His background includes successful positions in large hospital systems, medical group and MSO management, data and MIS systems planning, and direction of a data automation think-tank.

Prior to founding Rubicon, Mike served as Chief Executive Officer of MaternOhio Management Services (MOMS), a 140 physician Management Service Organization (MSO) dedicated to Obstetrics and Gynecology. In this capacity, Mike oversaw revenue-cycle management, insurance and risk consolidation contracts (malpractice, health), managed care contracting services and cooperative purchasing through a GPO.

Henry Ford Health System
- Coordinator of Radiology Research
- Administrator; Department of Neurology
- Corporate Director of Geriatric Services

National Computer Systems
- Development of the NCS Docuscan system, which allows for the immediate scanning of a superbill (route slip) into a physician billing system. The first interface was developed for The Medical Manager and is now the most widely used scanning interface for billing in the healthcare market.

MaternOhio Management Services
- Initiated a “Pay-for Quality” program in which OB-Gyn’s are measured using ACOG and HEDIS criteria to determine scores relative to regional markets. This program has received national attention from the media, the Managed Care Congress, and is profiled in the 2002 Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Annual Report.

Oasis Mutual Assurance, SPC
- Assisted a group of OB/Gyn physicians in forming a malpractice captive. It is expected that this risk venue will provide a long-term solution to the needs of the member doctors.
The Physicians Assurance Company (TPAC)
- Assisted in the formation of this physician-owned health insurance company designed to help physicians as employers, manage both quality of outcomes and cost of rising health insurance.

Mike has currently completed the didactic portion towards a Doctorate in Health Administration (DHA) through Central Michigan University. He has an MHA from The Ohio State University in the Health Services Management and Policy (HSMP) program. He is a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE). He is also Past-President of the MSO Executive Association, Past-President of the Mid-Ohio Medical Management Association (MOMMA) and for the Ohio Medical Group Management Association (OMGMA).

Briggs Hamor, Chief Financial Officer


Briggs Hamor has fifteen years of experience in the area of health care finance. He has earned an impeccable reputation for being an insightful analyst and confident decision-maker when it comes to improving the efficiencies of health care organizations. His thorough knowledge of health care operations, finance and insurance makes him an invaluable resource for clients of The Rubicon Group.

Prior to joining The Rubicon Group, Briggs served as Chief Financial Officer for the UnitedHealthGroup Columbus market. In addition to eight years of experience with a Fortune 100 health care company, his Six Sigma Black Belt training from The OSU Fisher School of Business and extensive background have enabled Briggs to develop a wide range of focused skills, including - financial analysis, pro forma and cost-benefit analysis, budgeting/forecasting, operations/process improvement, strategic planning, and management of personnel. Briggs has a Master of Health System Management from Rush University.

Chris Fitch, Development Executive


For the last 10 years, Chris worked with National City Bank as a business banker in their healthcare initiative and as a physician focused advocate in their Private Client Group.   His experience with senior level hospital executives, established physicians, and residents beginning their career provided an in-depth understanding of the wide array of financial opportunities and challenges faced by physicians in a changing market place.   As a trusted advisor and financial services liaison, Chris proactively managed a blended business portfolio that exceeded 100 million dollars.

As a precursor to his financial services career, Chris built upon his bachelor’s degree from Miami University by managing retail operations for several local entities.   He developed and trained managers for Wendy’s International and Best Buy.  He continued his professional studies by earning his insurance license and the series 7 & 66 brokerage designations.   These licenses, along with his real world experience, give Chris the ability to bring broad corporate level perspective to a private practice setting while serving the entrepreneurial spirit of the independent physician.
